Party Platform Still Calls for Reelection of Joe Biden

"The Democratic Party released its official platform on Sunday night, to be voted on at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago,

Illinois — and it calls for reelecting President Joe Biden, who was still the candidate at the time the document was finalized in mid-July. The platform begins with a “land acknowledgment,” declaring that the convention is being held on lands once belonging to Native Americans. This is a left-wing practice that, the Wall Street Journal noted last weekend, is central to the ideology behind campus anti-Israel protests — the claim that the United States and Israel are guilty of “settler colonialism.”

Jennings likened it to Biden being forced to give his “own career eulogy” at the event."

"People protesting the Democratic National Convention (DNC) were seen marching through the streets of Chicago dressed as abortion pills.

Video footage posted on X showed protesters dressed in white outfits, appearing to look like abortion pills with the words “MIFE” and “MISO” written on them.
“MIFE” stands for mifepristone, which is “the first of two medications used in a medication abortion.” “MISO” stands for misoprostol and is the “second medication” in a medical abortion, according to Planned Parenthood’s website."

"Reports from local media outlets and journalists on the ground

reveal that protesters breached the first layer of the security perimeter on the north side of the United Center. Protesters broke through a portion of the security fence on West Washington Boulevard. Chicago cops could be seen running to confront the demonstrators. There was a brief standoff between the police and protesters.
Officers donned riot gear as they faced off with the large crowd. Arrests were also made. A woman was seen being led away in handcuffs, while a man was carried away by several officers."
